Grimsby Town manager Ian Holloway is set to keep to his promise of bringing in quality loan signings from further up the football pyramid with the arrival of a Welsh under-21 international.
Sources in the West Midlands believe that the Mariners are set to add Wolverhampton Wanderers starlet Terry Taylor to their ranks.
The 19-year-old hails from Ayrshire, but is eligible for the Red Dragons because of his Welsh mother.
He was on the books of Aberdeen initially, before moving south to Molineux in 2017.
Taylor caught the eye during Wolves’ tour of the Far East last summer and made his senior debut for the club against local rivals Aston Villa in an EFL Cup tie in October 2019.
Nuno Espirito Santo is keen for the player to gain first team experience on loan and Blundell Park seems like the ideal place, particularly as he will be familiar with Welsh under-21 team-mate Harry Clifton.
Taylor has also linked up with Ryan Giggs’ full squad and played for Wolves under-21s in the EFL Trophy. He is noted for his excellent passing ability from the centre of the park.
